I have a computer that I am selling, I need to format the SSD drive & the HD drive also. The OS is installed on the SSD drive the other is setup for games & etc storage.
So what do I need to do to format both drives a clean slate on each? I have formatted single drive systems but never multiple drives.

Try to download something like the Ultimate Boot CD. Boot from a usb stick and it should allow you to format the drives. I think it also allows to "wipe" the drive - the whole hdd can have zeroes written a few times so that it's nearly impossible to recover anything.
 
If you're installing Windows, just do a custom install and the disk partitioning tool will be made available to you so you can nuke any and all extant partitions.
