sup all,

my ? is, what else can i do to erase/format one of my HDs???

....ive got this 60gig i wanna COMPLETLY erase...ive taken everything i need out of there already.

when i right click it and click on 'format' it tells me windows cant format it....

it says, "windows cannot format the system partition on this disc"

dunno why, and no its not the drive where windows is ALTHOUGH i do have an older version of windows on there.

i want to completely erase it and use it as a dump spot for my DLs etc....

any ideas?

thanks

I've received that message before when I moved a drive from one machine to another. However, Windows only said I shouldn't format it, and asked me if I was sure if I wanted to? I said yes and Windows just rewrote the partition table for that drive.

However, if you can't get it to do this, I'd suggest getting something like the gparted liveCD. You get the liveCD image, burn it to disc, boot from it, and you can use gparted to delete your partitions and such.
