if your 160 is a slave you should be able to format it in windows. goto my computer , right click the 160 and format. that should be it.

or right click my computer, goto manage, then diskmanagement and format in there.

if all fails then put the xp cd in and make sure cd rom is first boot. let the xp setup start, then partion the 160 and format in there

edit: read it wrong.

*Assuming your 80 gig has windows on it with your xbox data.*

Make your 160 a slave.
Make cd rom first boot.
goto xp setup deal with the xp cd
partition ur 160 gig how ever you like.
Boot back into windows from your default 80 gig
Dump your xbox and all other data from your 80 gig to your 2nd, 3rd ... etc partion
Turn off ur computer and set the 160 as master
Run xp setup like normal formatting the partition without data on it.

Format your 80 if nessary to prep for your xbox

actually if you dont remove the old HDD with the previous OS install,
the Install CD will detect the installation and create a dual boot,
failing to write the bootstrap to the new HDD.

However if Im not mistaken, the Xbox HDD is protected and you cant "just" format it
in fact defeating that violates the Digital Millenium Copyright Act
the information is readily available elsewhere, however per the rules I cant tell you how or allow anyone else to, sorry.

Once you do get it formatted, post back and I'll walk you through an install
