Win XP won't let me format a drive to Fat32? does anyone know how to do this? thanks!

Don't fear the command line:
format x: /FS:FAT32

will do what you want.

I always make sure to have at least 1 FAT32 partition, but it is never the boot partition. It's useful for Linux storage that I can move between Windows and Linux and when I boot to a pure DOS command prompt (BIOS flashing, etc), I have a drive with usable work space.
