Format issues....help?!?!

So I tried out FreeNAS a while back and had a few hard drives formatted...fast forward to today...I have put together a file server using WinXP and the hard drives I'm trying to use either A)can't be formatted no matter what and are totally inaccessible except through Device Manager or B) will only register so much of their space as accessible even though the bios correctly registers the model and sees the drive. WTF? How can I get these drives back to normal? This 250GB says only 32GB are avaliable...what gives?

maybe try low level format?

Thank you both for your replies...I figured it out. I used ActiveKill to erase ALL data, even the GPT protected partitions once hidden from Windows! Now formatted for complete use of full capacities.
