Forcing 3D mode for X1900 cards

Guys,

Any idea how to force 3D mode to always be on (no 2D mode)?
 
None that I am aware of. But I think the biggest question would be why???
 
If you mean 3D Clocks, well if you disable the ATI poller program and load you 3D clock profile with ATI tool, they should remain.
 
Folding at home. From what I have read, you should be able to do the equivalent of this using ATITool. Does this seem correct? I currently don't have an X1900 to test on (in the mail).
 
Great thanks. Trying to get the most out of these cards. Of course some people might hate the thought of having an X1900XT that won't ever have a game played on it....

Here is a tutorial meant for overclocking, but you don't actually have to overclock and just set your normal 3D clocks. It will tell you everything you need to know.

I thought I'd mention I problem I had trying to do this...just in case anyone else has the same problem.

I tried to force 3D mode just like the above article explains, however it refused to change the clock speed. I tried to end tasked the ati program and even disabled the service but still no luck.
I downloaded a program (from madshrimps) called "ATI Overclocker". It's much cruder that ATI Tool but it worked!
Unfortunately it crashed my computer too but here's the strange part. Now when I open ATI Tool it works lol
 
Having same problem with not being able to overclock. I may have to try your method Roman, unless someone has a better solution.
