Forceware drivers worth installing?

I have my default drivers installed I don't believe they came with the newest forceware drivers. Are they worth getting is there a big difference and do I need to unistall my old video drivers before I install the forceware ones?
 
I'd love to know the answer to this as well. A friend just installed a 5900SE and wants to know if there is any performance gains by upgrading to the ver 53.XX drivers.
 
depends on your driver version.
what is the default you speak of? the one on the CD? what version is that? The version on the CD is different depending on when the card was packaged.
