Force10 switches?

A Dell rep was telling me about Force10 yesterday. He was acting like they might as well be Cisco switches with cheaper prices. Very hard to believe, but I did a little research and their stuff has decent specs at least. He offered me some killer prices on them if I buy them with a SAN, but meh... I don't even know if I want to buy a SAN from Dell. I was thinking EMC + Cisco, but Equallogic + Force10 could be good? The price would certainly be lower.

Has anyone here used Force10? Good, bad, ugly?
 
Dell will tell you anything about force10 because they bought them last year.


Dell will tell you the same thing as they told people before with their non-force10 switches... that they are simply amazing... when they are not.


It's called sales.

A stupid response like that is not worthy of my response. Yes, I have used them along with Juniper, Extreme, Cisco, Brocade, etc.

Can you offer up some opinion on them? I've been wondering about them too
