nope nothing was different. i did what bLaCktIGErs91said and NOW i can change the AF settings and they ARE noticable. so thanks but you were mistaken because it wasnt doing anything before. now when i am on high quality and change the AF in new Doom 4 profile it will actually change it in the game. now i can run ultra and and finally have 16 AF. me so happy. thanks to all those that tried to help especially bLaCktIGErs91.

I just did the renaming thing, same location CP set at 16xAF...

i know what blurry grates and floors look like. now if a change the AF to 0 the grates are super blurry and when i change to 8 or 16 they are perfectly clear. if i use high or ultra quality and helps other thing besides Af. so the best image is in ultra with 16 AF set in the new Doom 4 profile. before when i changed the AF in the global settings it DID nothing.the global settings would probably work now since there is no Doom 3 profile at all.

I can mail you the last screen and see if you can spot the difference visually? :)
Not the suttle changes in Wang & Bovik?
CP AF with and without renaming are not 100% identical, but they VERY close...

you can if you want to. i have been at this for hours so i know what i did now made the difference and nothing else worked. i am telling you i can make the grates and floor blurry now even in ultra setting. that proves that the AF is actually being changed. before it made no difference on the grates and floor when i changed the AF in global settings.

I think you messed up some where else, cause the software tells me the difference is 0.9% between my CP AF and my renamed CP AF compared to the APP AF shot.

Terra - But you got it working now...so in the end you did something right ;)

it does what i want now and it is very noticable. man this went on for half the day. thanks for the help. time to take a break from posting. :D
