A few questions for you.

What...

CPU
Motherboard
RAM
Cooling

...do you have?

Also, what speeds did you reach with your chips?

Thanks.

I got horrible results on mine....

XP2500+ mobile
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
1 x 512MB Corsair XMS3500
Swiftech MCW462-U waterblock

I am running at 2.4GHz @1.675 volts. To reach 2.5GHz, I raised the voltage all the way to 1.8 and it's still unstable. I was expecting 2.6 to 2.7GHz out of the setup, so I was extremely disapointed when I could only run 2.4 stable on water.

Sandmanx why don't you up the volts. I am running a Mobile 2500+ @ 2 volt vcore and am prime95 stable. I am using a DFI Infinity Ultra 2 / 2x512 Corsair XMS Platuim PC3200 / Koolance watercooling system. I am able to do 13.5x200 for a stable 2700 Mhz @ 2 volt vcore even at full load I am at 37C. I would say up the Vcore and try again. When I had my NF7-S I could do 14x200 for 2800 mhz at 2.1 vcore and be stable but the bios died for the 3rd time in a year so I RMA'd it and going to ebay when it gets returned

see sig...

i have hit as high as 2.55 ghz with mine... the shuttle ice, fan, and everything is all stock.. i might stick a 120 mm fan on the back someday and really crank the cpu up..

oh.. made a chart... maybe you will like it.. damn.. i can't get it... it looks like i need to rehost it... i am at work.. so that will have to wait...

Athlon XP-M 2500
MSI KT6V-LSR
1Gb of some crappy Xerox PC 4000
TT Silent Boost

Right now I'm running at
170x14 for 2380 @ 1.5v

I don't really feel the need to go higher and honestly don't want to risk it.

/edit: Yes I know my RAM is way over what I'd need and it is crappy. I ordered PC3500 (since it's cheaper than 3200, or was when I bought it) and they sent me PC4000. No idea on timings, don't really care to much. I don't OC my ram, so it's not a big deal.

45W 2400+
2x256 Crucial PC2100 (i know)
Shuttle AN35N ultra
Volcano 7+ with speed control (i know again)
currently stock (1.67)@1.225V. 38C Full load. with CPU fan @300RPM (~24dBA)
does 2.40 (18x133)@1.70V. But it gets warm during the summer with the minimal cooling. (~55C), and the extra speed isn't a big impact with my 9600.

How good are your temps? I was considering getting one of those HSF's, but with the uncertainty of how much cooling I'm really going to need to get one of these up to 2.4-2.6GHz, I've laid off of that. I'm almost certain to get it to 2.6GHz (if its willing) I'd have to throw a Thermalright on it, with a panflow.

Well, on a good day (ie not 95 outside) I get 48c 49c when playing SWG, Far Cry, Sim City 4, etc. It usually idles around 43c. My apartment is usually about 78f. I don't have that great of a case for cooling. It's pretty cramped.

What...

CPU 1.45w 2400+ IQYHA
Motherboard NF7-S
RAM 2x512 Corsair XMS PC3500 (supposedly BH-5) 2-2-2-11
Cooling slk947u + 92mm temp controlled Tt fan.

...do you have?

12x200 = 2.4Ghz. 1.8vcore. Temps are 41/47C. I think I could do higher, but I get unstable if I push the FSB at all. I believe its either the MB or PSU. I will probably replace the PSU when I upgrade the vid card, and see if thats the issue. If I could just get the FSB to the rated speed of the RAM, I would be at 2.6....but right now I dont have a vid card or anything that can even push the CPU, so theres no point.

35W 2400m
Abit NF7-S 2.0
2x512mb Corsair XMS pc3200
Thermalright 947U w/ Sunon 92mm fan

The max stable O/C I can get is (200x13) 2.6ghz @ 1.9V, ~50C
I run it daily at (200x12) 2.4ghz @ 1.65V , ~43-46C

2.6ghz (200x13 or 220x12 or 240x 11,take your pick!), all at 1.825 or 1.85 volts,respectively.
DFI Infinity/Lanparty ( killed the latter a few months ago, i'm still mourning)
gig of Geil 400mhz ultra series
SP-97 with 57CFM 35dB fan and 140CFM 120MM rear fan(running at a VERY low RPM :) ), thermalright NB-1 NB cooler.
36C idle die temp(not socket!), 45C load.

when i get a new PSU i hope to get 2.7ghz stable on air, currently its 40C just below my PSU where my heatsink is, the heat gets stuck in my sonata.

2.075ghz (166x12.5) @ 1.5 volts
gig of super generic 400mhz ram($50 a stick for 512megs a few months ago when prices were still cheap  )
Volcano 6, old school!

wow,i typed too much

I think its the NF7-S I put mine at 200 in dual channel and if I so much as go 1 mhz more it doesn't boot. Yet if I put the same ram in the DFI I can get it to boot at 230Mhz without nothing more then a .3 volt increase on the ram.

i found it...

I got a 45W 2400+ that isn't even stable at 2.4GHz at 1.85v. Running at 2.2GHz @ 1.65v right now. I'm getting the POS replaced with a 35W 2400+ "I" stepping. Should be good.

See sig below....got the motherboard because all the multipliers are unlocked <PASSED 12.5>

I just got this chip today and haven't had much time to mess with it but...

2400+ 35w
Epox 8RDA3+ (i hate this board, NF7-S is in the mail)
Kingston HyperX 3500
Koolance case soon to be replaced with aircooling because it weights 50 freaking pounds.

It's running 2.4ghz 12x200 at 1.7vcore... I tried 2.5 this required me to up the voltage to 1.775 and it gave me a random reboot, so I backed down for now. I guess I'll try 1.8 but I don't know if that's going to be cool once I go back to aircooling. I am confident it will be fine at 2.4 with aircooling.

2400 35watt
Abit NF7-S v2
Mushkin PC3500

12.5 x 215 = ~2.6ghz on air with a zalman copper 7000 cooler.

Mine's in the sig, running foldingathome when I'm not gaming or emerging. It's full load pretty much 24x7. In the summer heat with everything inside the case I was hitting 56C. I took the pump and heatercore out of the case, and mounted them to the back of my desk. I also built another shroud, and have a push/pull going on the HC. I'm still hitting 52C mid-afternoon, but I can live with that. The mobiles seem to take some incredible heat without any problem. When I first got it I ran it at stock(2.0GHz) at 1.35v with an SLK-800(A) and no fan. It got up to about 60C, but I never had any stability problem.

2400 35watt
Abit NF7-S v2
2 x 512MB Mushkin PC3500 LV2
SLK900 w/ 64CFM fan

i've got it at 210 x 12 with 1.8v at the moment. i'm currently sorting out some issues my board is having with this RAM.

Voltage? Temps? Stepping?

-Matt

I got 2.42GHz or 11x220fsb at 1.775vcore. try using tictac's subzero d23 bios on your nf7-s rev2.0 if you're using one, otherwise, i dunno how i can help you. i am running:

nf7 rev2.0
xp-m 2500+ stepping :aqyha @2.42GHz on 1.775vcore
sapphire 9800pro w/r360 core flashed to a sapphire 128mb radeon 9800xt
18.4gig Seagate cheetah 15k3 15k rpm scsi hdd
40gig seagate barracuda 4
slk-900
thermaltake silent purepower 420watt

AMD Athlon XP-M 2400+
DFI Lanparty NFII Ultra B
Kingston HyperX 3500 2x256Mb
Asetek Waterchill CPU and NB

I'm up to 2600Mhz on 1.7V at the moment, 200x13, I've got to replace my mem. The mem sticks didn't come as a pair, bought them separetly. I feel this chip has much more in store for me, if I can get time and money to try and push it a bit more :D

I will have to get stepping later. voltage is 1.8v, temps range about low-mid 40's idle, and low 50's load.

Athlon 2500+ Mobile
IQYHA 0407
NF7 V2.0 Motherboard
Corsair Value Select PC3200 512 mb (single stick)
Volcano 9 HSF

Currently Prime95 stable at 2.5 Ghz and 1.625 volt (209 FSB X 12 multi).

Temps: 32C idle, 44C load under Prime95

- Athlon XP-M 2600+
- DFI NFII Infinity Rev. A
- 512MB Mushkin PC3500 Level II Black (BH-5)
- Air -- Swiftech MCX462-V with 92mm Tornado (AS Ceramique for TIM)

2.64GHz for 24/7 use with a 240MHz FSB on 1.875vcore.
Can do 2.70GHz on same voltage but with a lower FSB. (240 is about max :( )

All air baby :)

Temps
-------------------------------------------------
Fan at Half-Speed:

Idle - 42°C
Semi-Load - 46°C (heavy IE and application use)
Full-Load - 51°C (gaming)

Fan at 3/4-Speed:

Idle - 40°C
Semi-Load - 44°C (heavy IE and application use)
Full-Load - 49°C (gaming)

Fan at Full-Speed:

Idle - 39°C
Semi-Load - 43°C (heavy IE and application use)
Full-Load - 47°C (gaming)

Room Temp - ~20°C (ACed)

-------------------------------------------------

If I was to re-seat the heatsink and re-apply the Ceramique, I could probably reduce temps all around by about 3°C to 5°C. Cleaning the Tornado would probably help also but im lazy and im getting a 6800 Ultra EE soon. So when I install that ill probably do all the other stuff mentioned above.

Cheers.

Sounds like you need a bigger PSU! :D

what do you mean. I agree but...

I have a 550w Antec TruePower, however it's horrible on the rails (compared to PCPC). I want a PCPC-510.... kinda lots of $$$$ though :(

I just think the RAM is the limit. However, it does boot into windows all the way up to 260 FSB sooooo I dunno..

I had to do the mod on the rails to get what I wanted out of mine.
The rails were always stable on mine, but they wer a little low. After the mod it's good

Yea my rails are "stable" also, but too low like your's were. But fuck it. I just bought a PC Power & Cooling 510-Deluxe.

lol :)

$224.00 shipped

I needed it anyways for the 6800 Ultra Extreme Edition im going to get. (2 molex connectors :/)

And my other PC has a Fortron 530-watt (great rails), anyone need a 550-watt Antec TruePower? lol
