Got my IBM Eserver 325 Dual 2.0GHZ Opteron up and running, how does she look?

970PPD and 1D 18H to finish seems very long, is that normal for a setup like this?

i guess every point counts

my folding arsenal is now, 8800GTX, 8800GT, 2X 2.0GHZ Dual Opteron!

That sounds about right for Dual 2GHz Opteron's. I'll have to check tomorrow, I have a Dual Socket Dual Core 2.6GHz Opteron system, but I don't know what the PPD is for it's 2605 WU's.

Sounds bout right.

The sad thing is my E2160 pushes 1300-1400 ppd and probably uses 40% the power.

Glad to see you got the folding CD problem worked out. 970PPD is probably right about where it should be, the SMP client doesn't spit out points like the NV client does. But either way, just south of 1k nothing to sneeze at.

The PpDpGhz data from Fahinfo.org.
A Sledgehammer should crunch p2605 at around 250 PpDpGhz.
So your about right in your PpD.

Luck ............ :D

Wireless cards in everyone of them that you don't need access to regularly and move them out to the garage. :D

Every bit helps there. I know what you mean about things getting hot though. My bedroom is toasty because my gf likes to sleep with the door shut. Its nothing to see 82 degrees in the morning.

Your PPD on that machine sounds about right. My X2 4000+@3.0Ghz when it used to run F@H did about 1350-1400PPD on the 2605 and 2653 work units.

And don't even get me started on heat. Just looked at my electric bill today and I used $150 in electricity last month. So far that is the highest bill I've had since moving into this apartment 3 1/2 years ago. It's normally around 85-88F in my living room with the a/c on due to 3 overclocked Q6600s, 8800GT, X2@3.0 and a couple single core machines all folding in this room.

I could drop the temp a bit if I moved the machines to other rooms but I've been lazy and haven't moved my son's machine into his room yet and before I can move any of the others, I need to do some hardware swaps and get one of my switches up and running which means buying a power brick for one of them. Unfortunately, being unemployed doesn't allow for much extra cash at the moment.
