does enyone have a god totorial on how to make a bong cooler? im prbably not going to be useing it on a real proc(most likly a heated meatal plate) for the sience fair. i have a budget of 100-200 and maby 300 dollers. so what do i need?

A bong cooler works by evaporation.

Here are some guides/threads dealing with them:

BTW from the looks of your sig, Im thinking you are a hippy, so this might be the wrong kind of bong in these links.

im also 14 and had much of my extended family distroyed by drugs, so i dont have, or plan to have, eny experience with this things more notorieus relative :p ;)

lern ta speel beefor teh sience far.

The judges would probably count against you.

Reminds me of a time a judge didn't know a thing about what I was talking about, and thought he was über l33t because he had a ham radio license. Funny.... so did I. He gave me two minutes to talk about something that should've taken 15. Jackass.

i also need a cheep(ie $30-40) water block for a socet a mobo(and it needs to use clips if posible) if not, ware can i find a cheep new socet 478 proc?(ie ~$40)

Good luck. For a bong, you're gonna need a more powerful pump than a normal watercooling setup, because you have to lift the water the whole height of the bong.

I would recommend a Danner Mag 7 or 9 if you're trying to stay on a budget.

danm, thats still 50 bucks, so im hiting about 200 for waterblock mobo proc pump and the bong suplys its slef :(

If you're just doing it for the science fair (seems like a waste ;) ), you'd be fine with a $10 via aqua and a smaller sized bong.

for a science fair, just build a smaller bong...you don't need a huge one to illustrate the principle. i'd say maybe build the one on overclockers.com that's a total of 12" tall that way you could use a cheaper pump like a hydor l20 or even a smaller mag series like the 3...as for waterblocks i'm not sure what to suggest. i wouldn't plop 50 bucks down for a unless you planned to re-use it in a future rig...

for my computer though i took the suggestions from the overclockers.com article and made mine 4" in diameter and 24" tall total and used 2 danner mag 5 pumps and DD RBX waterblocks...

for some pics of mine, check out this thread:

good luck!
