i'm getting sick of keeping this in my house.

Processor has this written on the IHS:

OSA146DAA5BN
CACJE 0603FPMW
1408269A60132

i went to take a picture but my camera died :(

Does this require any special cpu support? I have an asus board that previously took a 3700 64 and 4600 x2? How does this compare to those?
 
most opterons will work in any socket 939 board.

As to athlon 64 equivilance,

the opteron 146 has the equal processing power of an Athlon 64 3200+ (both run 2 ghz stock), but it also has twice the L2 Cache. they are also known for their awesome overclockability.
this processor is guarantee'd to hit about 2.6-2.7 ghz, and commonly can hit 3 ghz on about 1.5 Vcore average.

Its a good processor for a cheap budget gaming machine, as it'll get the job done well, but with little cost.
