Hello all,

I just decided to pick up a Reeven Justice based upon the [H] review. My Haswell seems to be happy going up to 4.3 on the stock cooler using the Asus software that came with the Z97-AR (which was impressive actually).

My concern is the weight over the longterm. It will be mounted in an Antec 900. I wonder if it will it cause any issues with the mobo over time. I once had a Zalman that weighed a ton, but I can't recall if it caused any issues. Been a long time, plus I moved to Colorado a few years back so my memory isn't the greatest sometimes. Thanks.

V/R,
LL

Cooler weight shouldn't be a concern unless you are planning to travel with the motherboard barebone or some crazy stuff as that, most coolers nowadays uses solid and good backplates with transfer most (if not all) of the weight to it instead of the mobo. you should be fine in every aspect.

There are bigger coolers than the Reeven Justice out there, none with issues. Back in the day people had the same worry about the TRUE Copper when it came out, but the Reeven is only 900g, while the TRUE Copper was 1,900g, it also worked fine. Slap a fan or two on the TRUE Copper and you are well into the 2,000g+ area.

Update: The package arrive this morning. I pulled the motherboard out and check the ram clearance. It cleared the gskill sniper ddr3 1866 just fine. I had to remove one of the fan pegs on the case side (Antec 900) to close it fully.
I used a box end wrench to secure everything, didn't end up needing a super long screwdriver. The mounting hardware was pretty solid. Feels secure, despite it's size. It definitely stands out now.
The I7-4770k is happily up to 4.4 now just using the Asus 5 way wizard thingy. Not a bad start.
Thanks again, have a great weekend.
