Beats me. Probably because either the PCMCIA controller on the 5680 cuts a few corners, or because Echo did. I've heard of people having trouble with the Indigo on other notebooks, too, so I suspect the latter.

Ok thanks, I was looking at that product as well, and i didn't know if it didn't work for the reasons you stated or if it simply didn't fit the 56XX Series.
