You can get a E2140 Dual core for like $50. That might work better. You will have make sure bios is updated.

dont cheat yourself on RAM, its pretty cheap and i would recommend 2 gb minimum if not 4.....

A Pentium D is bearable, but don't put a Pentium 4 in anything that anyone will actually use these days.

When you say "rest of the specs", do you mean that those are the components that the Dell already has installed, or that they're components you plan on buying?
