Hi All,
Ok, system is in my sig.
I just moved an all of a sudden my computer will not boot at the overclock that it was stable at before. Is this normal?

My computer was stable at 3.5ghz for 10 months and now I cannot boot anymore. Its strange!

Anyone have and insite?

Thanks,
Eddie

If you moved, did you remove your hsf off your CPU to insure it wouldn't do any damage to the mobo?

Hi,
No I didnt remove it (forgot to) but the computer will boot with lower overclock speeds. Not anymore at the 3.5ghz though.

I would just start reseating things, probably just knocked something loose

If you moved the computer, you may have unplugged the power supply. With some boards, it trigger a function to come back to defaults since they thought the overclocking failed. Just reconfigure as it was before and it should work fine.

If it doesn't work still, run memtest86 since it's probably defective and the move made the killing blow on them.

Definitely run memtest. Ballistix D9 have started to get a pretty good reputation for premature death. <Nervously eyes the 4GB in my sig> I guess their being rated for 2.2V isn't really for the long term. Hence, I'm undervolting mine to the 1.8V DDR2 standard, hoping they last. I'm not sure if it's widespread to all D9 ram sticks, but there's a lot of people saying their G.Skill D9 sticks havn't let them down.
