• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

What does " Follow" and "unfollow" a user TAB do? On other sites once you "follow" a user , you'd get notifications when the user is posting either new threads or replies . Also for privacy reason every user has the option to allow followers or not. Here I did follow a couple of users few month back..and nothing changed.

"Follow" a user on XenForo forums is a one-way social feature that lets you subscribe to another member’s activity so it shows up in your personalized News Feed. "Unfollow" simply removes that subscription.

What “Follow” does...

When you click Follow on a user’s profile, member card, or avatar hover:
  • The followed user’s activity is added to your News Feed(accessible via What’s New → News Feed, or your account menu). This typically includes:
    • New threads they start
    • New posts they make
    • Profile posts and comments
    • Reactions they give
  • You may see their avatars highlighted or listed in the Members Online widget when they are online.
  • They usually appear in your “People you follow” / Following list (visible on your profile and account pages).
  • The person you follow typically receives an alert that you followed them (this can be controlled by their alert preferences or by certain add-ons).
  • They can see you listed among their followers on their profile.

It does not automatically send you alerts/notifications for every post they make (you have to check the News Feed). It is not a mutual “friend” system—following is one-directional.

What “Unfollow” does...

Clicking Unfollow (the button changes after you follow someone):

  • Removes their activity from your News Feed.
  • Removes them from your Following list.
  • Stops any related online indicators for that user.
  • They no longer see you as one of their followers (from your side).

You cannot force someone to stop following you—there is no built-in “remove follower” option in core XenForo (some third-party add-ons exist for that).
