I was trying to play CS:S online yesterday, and my ping wouldnt drop below 400. Turning off F@H on my old system I just started folding with yielded me 20 ping. Therefor, why is F@H lagging me so bad and is there any way around this? I want to fold but I can't be pinging 400 in servers

You will experience the occasional slow downs when Work Units are going across the line in either direction. I have 4 machines at home and I get the occasional slowdown. If I am playing Call of Duty, I just let the machine finish the transfer and know my ping in the game will be horrible.

With the big work units being sent out today, it does not happen that often.

We all just deal with it and now that we are folding for the right reason and some inconvience in our gaming is a trivial price to pay.

pause or stop folding when you play if u cant handle the low ping times just remember to start it back up when u are done.

The network transfer shouldn't last very long if you are on cable or dsl. The files are not large.
