Folding on multiple machines

I recently started folding on multiple machines (dual and single proc.)
For now I use machine ID 1-6 for each of the computers and I realised that in the text console it has a limit for 8 IDs for machines.
Do the machine IDs actually stop/prevent anything other than setting up folding on a 2+ proc rig? If it does, what happens when I get to 8 and what do all you guys with 10+ boxes do?
Thanks

The machine ID variable only matters locally on the computer. So, you would need 2 clients with different ID's on a dually rig or HT P4. However, they don't mean anything outside of that scope. You can set all of your other computers to ID 1 and you would be fine. :)
