Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Anyone tried it? Was thinking, seen as how they are going so cheap used, (~£50) and can be modded without any chips or anything if you arent fussed about live. How useful would a p3 733 with 64mb of ram be points/day wise?
Installing linux is no biggie at all, ive modded a few into media centers for friends at home, you pretty much end up with a stock linux distro, and ive no doubt that fah could be installed, what i was wondering was would it be worth it, id try it out, but i cant mod the one ive got here cos i like my xbox live too much, and all my mates at hiome are well, at home, as in a fair journey away.
If you were thinking about folding on an xbox you'd probably be better off going with the timeless units. Those would probably suit its capability just fine.
I have an extra xbox. Anyone that has experience modding them, if they could point me in the right direction, I would be much obliged. (it has a blinky DVD drive, so any advice on that would also be appreciated).
xbox-scene.com has bucket loads of tutorials on modding/installing linux/changing dvd drives and pretty much everything else you could want. If youve got a soldering iron and you arent fussed about being able to get on live with it you can have it moddded in an afternoon, you want to be looking in the softmods section of the tutorials.
