I have a small problem with the windows folding client and I can't find where to get some support.
The client runs fine. But after running a few hours, if I try to stop the client, my whole PC locks up. Even if I don't try to stop it, if I try to start a game like Guild Wars, the PC locks up after the login screen shows.
I would like to continue letting my FX fold when I'm not playing games. But locking up the PC on a daily basis just to be able to play a game, one of these days, I'm afraid something bad is gonna happen.
Any ideas?

Are you using the graphical or console version? If you're using the graphical, try switching to the console (as a service), then you wont even have to stop it for gaming - i never turn mine off, and it doesnt make a difference, and i have a much slower machine.

also...is your computer OC'ed...that might cause problems too

I didn't need to stop the folding client to begin with.
The problem began when starting up games locked the PC up. Then I noticed that the PC would also lock up when I try to shut it down. Finally I narrowed the problem to the folding client and noticed that the problem shows up only after the folding client had ran for a few hours.
I am not OCing my rig at all.
But I will try the console client tonight.

OH YEAH...if you are running the GUI Client then that is where the problem is. I had the same problem playing worms armeggedon with the graphical client. Yeah, do yourself a favor and get the console version...much MUCH better
