Alright, after MUCH help from mage I think I have the Fold Server and farm working. How can I monitor the progress of each of the client nodes in the farm? I have this setup at my work, and I would like to sit on my Windows XP workstation and watch it during the day. I see in my Network Places under Entire network I have a Fold-Server. Can I somehow use EMIII and watch each client?

Yup.... just point EMIII to each client!

Congrats on getting them set up!

Keep on Folding!!

How do I point EMIII to get client? I can't browse to each client over network places. When I try to access the "fold-server server (Samba 2.2.9) (Fold-server)" it ask me for a username and password. I tried to enter root and Fold@on, but no luck.

Not sure... as I've only used EMIII to track other Windows clients... Is the folder shared somehow?

Root is specifically blocked from using samba, it just opens too many holes. Use "dsl" and a blank password. Then drag the folders into EM and it should work fine.

HTH/HTW (hope that works  )

EDIT:
OK, I guess I need to be more patient, because they all just showed up in my nework places.

Alright I have three client nodes connected to the Fold Server. I was able to use dsl with a blank password and get in to map the folders in EMIII. Thanks for that! Now I'm having another problem. I connected two more nodes and watched them boot. They received work and started crunching away. However, in the Fold Server, I only show that there are two clients that have IP's. Client57 and Client93. I know that the third client got an IP, because it got a workunit and started computing that. Under the \foldsave folder there is only a subfolder for my first client, client57. I can't use EMIII on client93, because there isn't a folder for it. How long do these things take to show up? It seems like my first client showed up pretty quick. All my clients are Pentium 4 1.8GHz, 512. The server is a P3 500Mhz with 512.
