I want to make sure I understand what I am trying to do and make sure that Fold-Server will do what I think it will. Ok, I have a Windows 2003 DNS/DHCP server that is running my network. The IP of the Win2003 server is 192.168.1.10. Our Internet gateway/router is 192.168.1.251. It's my understanding that Fold-Server is a DHCP server for the client F@H nodes attached to it. I want to set a static IP address to the first network card in the Fold Server that will connect to my "normal" network. I could set it to something like 192.168.1.11. Then on the second network card in the Fold Server I want to set that to 10.0.0.1 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Then hook up the second card to a stand alone switch with my client F@H computers connected to it also. Here is a little graphic for what I am thinking about:
Each of the F@H client will receive and IP address from the Fold-Server of say 10.0.0.2-10.0.0.100. Am I understanding this correct? Only PXE clients connected to the switch that is connected to the second network card will boot from the network? How do I setup the Fold Server for these settings?
