ok i have the gpu client running for my nviida 260.

when i have it minmized down there it only uses 19% of a core on my quad processor.

but when i right click the icon and click display it maxes out 2 cores of my processor.

is this a bug or does it do more work when its in display mode?

but when i close the display it goes back to 19% on one core.

I am going to assume you are talking about the "viewer" that shows the nice picture of the protein folding.

We *ALL* keep that minmized in the systray if running that client.

19% is correct CPU load. The Viewer has a few bugs and as you can see uses a lot of resources.

The *work* is being done behind the scense - the viewer is just showing you a pretty picture of what is going on ... nothing more ...

The viewer is evil.

I never bring it up. You can use the log file to check in on the client, or use FAHmon.

Also, you are paying attention to the CPU usage not the GPU usage. The GTX 260 is at 100% usage no matter what your CPU usage states.

ok i just didnt know if it used the cpu to do more work also.
