Foamy water while bleeding...

My mixture for 1L was Distilled water, 1.5-2 capfulls of zerex, 3 drops of dye-lite UV. This was mixed before I filled the loop. At first it wasn't foamy at all, but after leaving for 3 hours I came back to foam. If I stop the pump the water is very clear, and divided from the foam in the tubing.

Any ideas on what I should do? Just leave over night or drain now? Or?
 
Dang looks like dishwashing soap lol. Its prolly the zerex making it foam, it should quit after it coats the blocks

My new build im gonna use purple ice racing fluid and it does the same thing.
 
Yep i have seen this before with zerex racing stuff and it does settle down after a couple of days
 
here's a tip that i used when doing my setup.

first, it's common knowledge to open the cap of your resevoir while letting it run... but one thing that's overlooked that would help speed the process up is to tilt the case in a way that escaping bubbles have a path out to the open resevoir hole...

in my setup, i used an MCRES1000 which is a pretty flat and long resevoir. just opening the cap didn't do anything because the air had no where to escape (the inlet actually tunnels down a little into the water.)

so, i tiled my case back (like doing a wheelie) so that whenever bubbles made their way around to the resevoir, they'd float up and out of the resevoir rather than get sucked back into the pump.

hmmm... it looks like you're tilted back already... i guess now, it would be to position it so that you can remove air from your radiator.

so I'd suggest another 90 degrees counterclockwise (from pic1)

but of course you may have to close your resevoir up depending on where the inlet is.
 
For future fillings I find it MUCH easier to use just water to fill. Run it and get the air out. Then slowly add your additives, this way the loop will not foam.
 
Thanks for the replies guys. I think I might drain and use nik's advice as I've gotten the same from a couple others.
 
my setup ALWAYS looks like that.

I leave it overnight with the res, uncapped... The bubbles coalesce and the loop can be refilled. Just dont turn it on!
