Fly behind LCD glass

So I haven't even had my Samsung 913V LCD for a month yet, and I've already gotten a little tiny fly stuck behind the LCD glass. It's very small, and was moving around for a bit, but now I think it's dead. Not sure what to do now. Would really suck to have to send this for warranty repair because of a bug, and that's IF this is covered. Has anyone else had this happen?
 
Wow, that sucks! Did you see the fly crawling around in the liquid crystal? That would be so wierd...it's probably like a million degrees in there to the poor little fly...That's crazy! :eek:

It might be safer to send it back and tell them "you noticed it right away" rather than taking the screen apart yourself. It's not your fault unless you already opened it. If you don't do anything, it could get worse...what if it's just resting before laying some eggs???

I think this is a justified return. If anything they will be able to remove the fly pretty easily and sell it as a refurb, or hell, send it right back to you, but don't risk your warranty just yet.
 
it really wouldnt be that hard to take your monitor apart and remove the fly yourself...sure it may technically void the warranty, but it certainly doesnt matter if you're careful enough so they cant tell you opened it, unless of course there is some sort of seal

when my tft broke after my cat stepped on it when i had my homemade lcd projector going, i put it all back together and realized that when turned it on, there were a ton of cat hairs inbetween the panel and backlight, so i simply opened it up again, removed the hairs and got another new one sent to me (CMV ct-529a)

i dont know if the workers at that company just really suck at telling when an lcd has been tampered with or if i actually did a good job, but my story of it being DOA seemed to satisfy them, lol
 
Er wait so if a Fly can get behind the screen like that ,what about all the dust that must be making its way in there as well? ...Over time you eventualy get a dirty screen that cant be cleaned? (Talking about all LCD monitors in general)
 
...how the hell did a fly get into your lcd panel? that just dosent seem possible unless it got trapped between the lcd itself and the backlight somehow during manufacture...

it has to be dead pixles or something else seriously wrong, i would take it back as quickly as you can
