flushing the system

I could be wrong but I'd imagine it goes before the filling T-Line/ reservoir.

You can then have a bucket underneath the drain valve and run through as much water to flush the loop as you like :)
 
It's for 1/2" OD tubing...
And you're running 7/16" ID tubing. It won't fit.

Ive read several posts from people saying otherwise, people say it is actually better in that its tighter on the fittings, and therefore less prone to leaking. 7/16" tubbing on 1/2" barbs is what i planned, so this is the first ive heard of someone saying it wont work
 
heat up the tubing a little and push it on there, it should fit no problem...
Iused a heat gun on my stuff, but you could try boiling it in water also.

That's because you two are talking about two completely different things...

7/16" ID (typically 5/8" OD) tubing will NOT fit inside a quick-connect/compression fitting intended for 1/2" OD tubing. The outer diameter of the 7/16" ID tubing is 1/8" too large.

7/16" ID tubing will fit over 1/2" OD hose barbs.... see, you can stretch 7/16" to fit over 1/2" but you can't cram a 5/8" dia. object into a 1/2" dia. hole (at least, not without leaks).

People seem to forget/overlook the whole OD measurement vs. ID measurement thing too often... :rolleyes:

This T valve thingy is using quick connect fittings, which depend on the OD of the tube and will ONLY work with the tube OD they are designed for.
