flow meter/sensor question

Best to contact MO or go to their forum and ask around. However, I don't think their software supports a flowmeter unless you can interface it to one of the fan headers.

I just brought a flow sensor from R1ckCa1n. Where do you normally put the sensor in the system? After the radiator and before the CPU?
 
Suggest you do the flow mod to the AC flowmeter. Drill out the intake to approximately 6mm and then use the out port for the intake. If you do this let me know and I will look up the setting you will need to enter in the Aquaero.
 
Where are these aquaaeros coming from? Im looking for one to buy for XMAS :)

I always put them between the last block and the res.

My configurations are typically Pump->Radiator->Block->Flow Senor->Res

I emailed Sharka, they are currently out of the Aquaero but the next shipment is expected to arrive in a few weeks. They finally decided to lower the price of the Aquaero.

I do not quite understand what you are referring to. Can you elaborate on this?

Do you have an AC flowmeter now? These pics will help you understand what the deal is. :)

See that tiny little hole? It will just kill your flow. So you do what I said and then you change the value in the Aquaero to like 239 impulses per liter IIRC.

Can't tell you how many Aquaero orders they lost due to their high prices. ;) They put that price up when the Euro was at about $1.33 per Euro and now it is about $1.15
 
I understand now. You think I can go as much as 10 mm? I'm using this with my Apex kit.
 
Are you the same revlimit from ebay? Im gonna bid 350$ on that auction before it ends in 5 days ;)

Don't know... If you are willing to do it then just measure the amount of fluid that goes through
it and adjust the parameters to equal the flow you get.

Oh that one :D Just keep in mind that the display is a LCD and not a VFD or OLED. However, it appears to be a version 4 hardware design so I think it is possible to upgrade the display. Also the Aquastream controller appears to be a really old version.

Should I get the VFD from Sharka or the OLED from IT-Trade.

What will happen if I drill both ports?

Modsquad2 did the same thing as you are proposing. Depends a lot on what you are using the flowmeter for I suppose. If you are using it to detect low flow then it really doesn't matter how big a hole you drill. However, if you are using it to measure actual flow then it gets iffy. Try it and report back as I am sure many people would be interested. :)
 
I'll report back when I get my Aquaero.

I did what you said and ported the intake with 1/4" drill. Next step is to port both with a 1/2" drill bit.

He lived in St. Petersburg. I had to come back to Orlando for school on monday anyway so I just drove to Tampa/St. Pete on the way back up. 6 Hours of driving and 30$ of gas :eek:

Left @ 7AM, got there at 10:30AM. Left there at 11:30AM and got to Orlando at 12:45 :D

I will update my worklog soon...
