I am going to be sleeving my power supply cables pretty soon and I was wonder if I can remove some of the floppy drive power connectors and not put them back on afterwards.
They make it harder for me to hide wires and I have 4 of them..only need one.

The cables are setup like this:

PSU--Wire--Molex--Wire--Molex--Wire--Molex--Wire--Floppy Power

and I want them to look like this:

PSU--Wire--Molex--Wire--Molex--Wire--Molex

I just want to know if this could cause any problems with the PSU. My currents PSU is a 420W Thermaltake Purepower.

Thanks!

Shouldn't cause any problem as long as you get everything connected back together properly. I'm not sure how the wires were set up originally but in the supplies I have there are only 2 molex connectors per line coming off the PSU.

If those wires get long enough and you have them hooked to a bunch of components that pull a lot of power it could be a problem. So powering a 6800Ultra and a raid array on the same chain would be a bad idea.
