Just got the last of my parts.
Everything is working fine except one problem, the floppy drive won't read any disks.
The light comes on but when I try to boot to disk, nothing....
When I go into windows explorer and click on the a: drive it just gives a box that says to insert a floppy into the drive....
I know its not the disks, and I know the drive worked fine a couple months ago when I updated my bios on my old machine. Its been sitting in a box since then so don't see how it could have been damaged.
Anyone have a clue what my problem might be. With all the the top end componants and new technologies in my new rig its killing me to think that my goddamn floppy drive is holding me up. I just want to update the BIOS before I start doing other stuff like updating drivers and updating windows and installing all my stuff.

Flip the cable around connecting to the back of the floppy.

Does the light just stay on, doesn't blink?

gl :)

YeAH I've done that. When I flip it over the light just stays on. I'm gonna try switching the cable now on the off chance its bad.
