Floating voltages in cpuz??

Ok I'll ask a question I already know the answer to (I think). I have a thermaltake 420, now my voltages are floating kinda rapidly (every sec or so) in cpu-z 1.488-1.456... Is this bad? I also think the 12v rail is low 11.86. I am not overclocking as it is worse when I do that. I need a new psu, right. What are the impressions of this one?

Antec 550 for 81.90 isn't a bad deal at all, even with the $10 shipping! Opinions?

I have noticed the same thing with my system. I have a Pc Power and Cooling 410 silencer I bought in dec. I also have a NF7s with a barton 2600. I know software monitoring is not very accurate, and with mbm5 all the voltages fluctuate. I just chalked this up to software error. But jagzzz, what is your theory?

you missed a couple of "z"s in his name, just thought i'd point it out :p

goodluck to you both

Well no theory really, just the other week I had to RMA an abit IC&-max3, so I when I noticed the floating voltages (which had never been there before) it just keyed me in to possibly the psu being the problems. I also just started getting random reboots, another sign that something doesn't jive. The PSU i was refering to was the antec 550 on motherboards.com it's 117, but only $81 after the 30% off and tack on $10 for shipping, not too bad of a deal. They sell for like 125 on newegg. I was also looking at the 480 neo, but hell I'll prolly use all the connectors anyways. I noticed the 550 antec on your list of good psu's so I may just get that. Motherboards.com has some awesome deals right now so check them out!

lol. so MaMMa, I take it your voltages dont change at all?

They fluctuate, however, very small, always above the 3v 5v and 12v. I Love my PCP&C :D

so yours float above, while mine floats almost .5v below. Sounds like a problem to me. Thinking more and more of the neo 480. Will ponder the decision over some zzzz's.

the Vcore on a NF-7 will vary a bit unless you perform a pencil mod on the Vcore reg resistors, I never did that, and mine would run 11.5x 220 24x7 I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.
