Flickering Problem Fixed with Eyefinity?

I am planning to get a 5770 due to it being a little more affordable. I currently have 3 2048x1152 dvi monitors which means I will need an expensive dual-link active displayport because of the high resolution.

I know before people had the flickering problem with these dual-link adapters. I was wondering if this has been fixed yet.

The Accel active converter that amazon sells works just fine, ive been using one for the better part of a year without a single issue. I believe the issue was not related to the cards working improperly but with the converters not putting out enough juice to keep the monitors from going into standby...though I didnt follow it closely enough to be certain that was the case.

If you don't care about eyefinity then you could always just plug in a really cheap secondary card to drive the third monitor.

The Accell active DP to VGA adapter would work at that resolution as long as the monitor looks good through VGA as well. Those are about $25.

Just to clarify I was talking about the DP-->DVI converter, not the VGA...I know nothing of the vga adapter.

I run a VGA -> DP adapter, I don't notice any difference in quality between that and my straight DVI connections. Only downside is that the my ASUS monitor connected to the adapter won't power down automatically after the machine is turned off, pretty negligible IMO.
