Flickering/Black Screen

I built a pc for a buddy, but some things came up and he can't afford it now. Original build was:

FX-8320e
Cooler Master T2 cooler
MSI 970a G-46
2x4gb G.Skill Ripjaw 1333
Diamond HD 7850 2GB (single fan model) (bought here recently)
XFX TS 550w 80+ Bronze

We tested it running Valley at normal specs and then overclocking the gpu. Ran fine through many runs. We played Batman Arkham Asylum for a few hours and all was good.

I decided to use the 8320e and the psu for another build I'm working on. In place I installed a FX-6300 and a Corsair CX 500 psu. While working I bumped my table slightly and the screen flickered and went black. I reset and after splash screen it stays black. Tried wiping drivers and installing fresh but that didn't fix it. I decided to do a fresh install of windows (7 Ultimate) and the same thing happened. Whenever installing any driver package it states at the end it was installing successfully, but instead of getting the green light (meaning success) it's yellow. When checking the log no errors show.

After googling I found a solution of installing only the display driver, restarting, installing the remaining drivers except CCC, restarting, and then installing CCC. That worked and I was back up and running. As soon as I started Valley the screen flickered and went black. The only way to get the screen to come up is to wipe drivers and start over, but once I run Valley, same thing happens.

This really seems like a driver issue, but I've tried 14.12 and 15.6 and neither work. Any ideas on what's going on here? Thank you for any advice and information.

Makes ya wonder about the power supply since it worked fine with the other supply ......even if it is corsair

The hole bumping the table thing would make me reseat everything that could have come loose ....heck it worked before right?

I put the gpu in another fresh build and it didn't work. Put a known working gpu in the old build (that now has the Corsair CX 500) and everything was fine. I'm leaning towards the gpu just took a crap. Not sure how/why it would all the sudden just black screen, but that's what I'm thinking it is.
