hey guys

I have a flatpanel lcd i use with an ati radeon 9800 pro, pardon my ignorance but my ati radeon has two connectors on the back, the standard one that has the pins and is blue colored but theres also another one i believe is called dvi and its white rectangular with square holes and what im wondering is if its any better to get a cable to connect my flatscreen monitor to the white rectangular one?
 
If your flatpanel monitor has a DVI port in the back of it (white rectangular one) then YES it is better to hook up with DVI. The monitor should either come with a cable or one can be picked up at most electronics stores, as well as NewEgg and eBay. You can probably find a cable for less then $10 fairly easily. The DVI cable is digital and you'll get less ghosting and a clearer picture (depending on the monitor) if you use DVI. With my flatpanels, i barely even notice the difference between DVI and VGA on them. They both look damn good.
