flat panel carrying case?

going to quakecon, i need something to carry my monitor with. obviously i don't want it to be harmed, but it seems that the majority of widescreen carrying cases are either out of stock, or nobody has them.

pm wankel he makes cases for the 2005 at like 60ish bucks but 50x better than any crap you can get anywhere else and has so much extra padding and protection plate for your screen you could literally sit on your monitor without screwing up the screen.

dunno if he is still making them or backed up on orders but thats your best shot ATM

maybe you could get like a softsided notebook carrying case and modify it with a hole in the bottom and some extra foam padding. Besides that I'd suggest just bringing it in the original box.

damn i want one, hows it holding up? its not like starting to fall apart or deteriorate is it? do you think its worth the $55?

its worth $100 bucks no way these carriers can fall apart
it has better construction than any chinese sweat shop can do.. everything is doublestiched and extra padding everywhere.

mine even has a metal re-enforcing plate on the front of mine so even decent size dinks dont do jack to the monitor front..

Still like brand new. Absolutely worth the $55. I shudder at the thought of dinging up my pixel perfect 2405.
