Is there anything bad about using the FlashMenu prog provided by Abit to flash your BIOS? Or should I do it the old fashioned way?

Thanks in advance? I heard that it was a good idea to shutdown the comp after a BIOS flash and clear the CMOS, true?

I have tried flashing from windows with both Asus and MSI without any problems ... there should be a setting on the program to reset to default and reboot after a flash ... you can also do this by using a switch with your DOS program if you go that route ... good luck ...

I've flashed from Windows on an Asus and in Intel board, and that worked fine. I've also used the Flashmenu prog that Asus offers, and that works perfectly well. Go ahead and use it ...

I recomend the old fasioned way, I have tried abits flashmenu once for my ai7, it took me 4 hours to get the thing fully working again. (it was totally unresponsive, even after a cmos clear). the old way is the safest IMO
