Hey guys...long time lurker with a question
My friend is looking for a laptop, but wants to be able to stream video well to TV from Hulu,Youtube etc. What is the minimum cpu/gpu combo to avoid issues with dropped frames/lag?
I know on my laptop(Acer 5810tz) with an Intel GMA 4500MHD chip, tied to a (Intel Pentium SU2700 / 1.3 GHz..a culv chip ) it will not stream even 720 well without skipping. I know flash is a resource whore ,and even with the newer versions using your gpu,its not enough to cut it with Intel integrated video. But I'm guessing it wouldn't be as bad with a dual core cpu?
If a laptop has a dual core cpu, running at a decent speed(2ghz?),is that enough to work well with a integrated Intel gpu, flash streaming wise or do you need both a dual core and an Ati/Nvidia gpu avoid frame drops/lag when streaming to TV?
Thanks alot, i really appreciate it.!
