YouTube and related style video players are choppy while in full-screen mode if I'm using Chrome, but I've noticed its fine in Internet Explorer 8. Netflix is not affected. What's going on?
 
Totally wild guess here but you may want to check that you are running the same version of Flash in both browsers (control panel > Flash player > advanced tab). Internet explorer uses its own ActiveX version of Flash and other browsers use the plug-in version. I've seen those two versions get "out of sync" before. If you are using an old plug-in version for Chrome, you may not have all of the latest hardware acceleration features.

Edit: Almost forgot that Chrome actually updates Flash player on its own during version upgrades (doesn't use the plugin version). I just checked mine and it looks like it is using a slightly older version (but not terribly old) than my other browsers. It should be a version that has hardware acceleration though. You can see the version that Chrome is using by typing chrome: plugins in the address bar. (remove space between the : and the p, I had to do this so that it wouldn't do an emoticon).

Netlfix isn't Flash BTW: it uses Microsoft's Silverlight technology which has no GPU hardware acceleration at all.
 
Your suggestions didn't work, I'm wondering if it wouldn't be best to remove Flash for chrome from my system and start from scratch, unless the latest version is what's causing the stuttering.
