I have an old SN95G5 Shuttle with an Athlon64 3500+.

I found an FX-53 the other day in a drawer......

I would install it in the Shuttle.
BUT I need to find out what the BIOS version is currently.

The opening splash screen doesn't display any information and then jumps right to windows.

How do I figure out the BIOS version in this thing?

Looked in BIOS......no go
Used CPU-z......no go.

Is there some other utility I'm missing?

thanks.

I actually have a floppy drive, save one just for ocassions like this, and some blank floppy discs.

I can't recall which version of the board I have, but that's easy to find out.

So I guess I'll just D/L the bios and flash it using the floppy.....
I'd still like to find out which BIOS I actually have.

AIDA64 will show you the BIOS version.

Thanks. That utility worked nicely.
Looks like my box has the latest BIOS version...... I was kind of worried how I was going to flash the BIOS, the OS I has on it is W7 and I don't know if any floppy disc utilities work with W7......I suppose I could use a USB boot if I had to.:D

The entire point of a DOS floppy flash is to bypass the OS so W7 wouldn't have mattered.

I recall in the past with WXP having to make a boot floppy, which was then removed and the floppy with awardflash and the BIOS.bin was inserted and the flash done.:D

maybe it is no longer valid......but I have not flashed a BIOS from a floppy in a long time.
I generally use a USB method like Gigabyte's or ASUS's EZ-flash.

Yes. Again that floppy was completely bypassing the computer OS by running a DOS shell. The EZ flash utilities do the same thing except it's just built right into the BIOS.
