I just bought a 64mb flash pen drive....
I bought it mainly to have to never see another floppy the rest of my life.

But I also want to backup/take with me my favorites and maybe browser history and some documents.

I would also like to be able to boot from it, but not nearly so much as the rest of this.

So my question is do you guys know of something i could download that would help me automate this?

I did find this at download.com but havent tried it yet.

I really would like to find a good solution to this problem, so any help would be greatly greatly apprectiated. :) thanks

Edit: Download not program.

well no, its probably not that simple
if you want to accomplish all your objectives
making it bootable as a standalone OS that then backs up that data from your (XP?) install, would require a thin OS like
DOS (which would also need NTFSReader) and scripts
another approach would be Linux for example

http://rz-obrian.rz.uni-karlsruhe.de/knoppix-usb/
http://www.knoppix.net/about.php
but then of course there also needs to be the room leftover to backup the data.

if it was alot larger it could probably be done but 64MB isnt alot.
there are 1.44MB Linux distributions that can run from a floppy
but then you need to access the data as well
Im not currently aware of an out of the box solution.

what probably makes more sense is to install a Windows Compatible Backup utility to the normal Programs Directory
and just save your data to the USB

Do you know how much data in total your backing up?

Not alot(maybe a megabyte or two), there are programs that come with some of the usb drives, that does all of the above. I figured someone might have written a new/free utility to achieve the same thing.

they probably have
but Im not aware of it,

if not they will soon with the rising popularity of flash
