i can't believe i'm opening up these can of worms again, BUT....
Yeah, i had my conspiracy theories...
Yeah, i was a whinny baby about it
Yeah, i got some money back from newegg for my vid card and got flamed for that too
Yeah, i got flamed to hell for all of the above and i am truley sorry...not for how i felt at the time, but for the approach i took and the respect i lost here right off the bat...
yeah... looking back.. it was deserved...
However... I can't help but notice how many people feel now feel the way i did back then. I am seeing a lot of posts on this subject not just here but on message boards everywhere.
My only fault was that I may have been premature in my well deserved Nvidia rant/flame....that coupled with my Marketing conspiracy... (LOL right Hurin?)
I am sure Nvidia is working hard on releasing the drivers and releasing WHQL certified drivers for Vista...some are already out.
To be honest, i could care less if they are WHQL or not as long as they are stable drivers being released by Nvidia. For now i just turn off UAC in Vista and it gets rid of those annoying warning messages.
The truth is... when it comes down to it... they know and we know that no matter how much we complain about it and no matter how much we say we will never buy their products again... the sad fact is... eventually if the price is right... and the quality is there... we will continue to buy their products.
Regardless of that fact... In the least...I hope Nvidia is reading and listening to the voice of their consumers because it sounds like the majority of us would have been willing to wait for a solid product instead of getting our hands on one that was released half-arsed. I hope they learned their lesson from this whole thing...
