Flaky USB connection on rocketfish?

Hey guys,

Ever since I moved my rig from an antec 900 to a rocketfish, my front USB connectivity has been flaky. It seems to only work well when only one device is pugged in, such as my wireless USB dongle. However, if I plug in my flash drive, it is sometimes not recognized or other times works incorrectly. When I unplug my wireless and plug in the USB drive, it works fine.

This only puzzles me because the antec 900 had no problems with the front devices running at the same time. It is because the rocketfish's front cables are longer so the signal degenerates or something?

Any help would be appreciated :)
 
Maybe the antec had two separate usb connections and the other case acts like a hub? just my guess.
 
The 5 cases I bought all are in good working order, except the one I recently decided to create a work log on and drill out all the rivets...fun. That one hasn't been turned on yet.

That top panel with the ports on it comes out pretty easy, I would just contact Rocketfish support and tell them its not working correctly. Presuming they actually have support, should be fairly painless for them to mail you another piece and the cables.

I have 2 devices in my top panel constantly and have not see any issues.

my lock came broken. I emailed Lian Li, and they sent me a new lock.
 
If I email Lian Li, what should I say? Should I say I have a rocketfish or PC- 70B?

Hello,

I purchased a rocketfish case from best buy which I understand to be a modified Lian Li case. Unfortunately, the one I purchased lock does not work. I went back to best buy, and they had no more in stock to exchange. I am wondering if you sell the lock by itself or would know a store that would. Thanks

They responded 2 days later asking me for my address and said they would send me one free of charge. It came roughly 2 weeks later from China via registered post.
