My BFG 6800GT OC only gets detected by Coolbits at a measly 383/1.02...and it becomes utterly unstable in games at 400/1.10 and brings up artifacts at 390/1.07. I've messed with all kinds of settings in Coolbits, but I get the same result every time. Did I get a bum card, and if I did, what can I do about it?

Edit: This is using the WHQL 65.73 Forcewares...so it's not like it should be a driver problem.

No, your card is fine. It is rated at 370/1000. Any speed you get over that is a bonus, it is not guaranteed to overclock to Ultra levels stable since it is a GT card.

jees that sucks. What kind of airflow you got in your case?

Maybe an intake blowing to it, and atleast 2 exhaust fans above it.

It's a Super Lanboy with stock cooling. I'm planning to get 4 120mm CoolerMaster white LED fans and put two of them in the stock position and drill two holes for the others in the side window. That and a NV5 Silencer should do the trick.

That's not so good. My Leadtek 6800nu core speed overclocks higher than your GT!.
