Hopefully we have finally tracked down the issue that was giving you guys the false "fixing" message.

Also, we are still very much tweaking the brand new hardware that was installed a week ago, so you will see us "fixing" some her or there. We will update the message so that you know it is the real deal.

I never come into these types forums but I gotta admit. The site is much faster than before. What DID you do?

:p

About time...that damn "fixing" message was pissing me off!!! At one time I tought this forum was being runned from a floppy disk on a 386 computer with Windows 3.1 inside a cave in Bangladesh...

You can always get your money back if not satisfied ;)

If I got paid $1 for everytime I saw the fixing message I'd be buying plenty close out items at Circuit City right now...IM RICH BEEOOTCH!!!!! :D

Considering we have 500 more users online than the biggest rated feature rich VBulletin forums currently, I don't think we are running off a floppy.

Kyle,

Can I suggest an i7 server with 16GB RAM?

Forums been screwed up for two weeks now.

Can I suggest a brand new dual quad Xeon with 16GB of RAM installed last week. Just be patient. Running a forum this size is not as easy as a smart ass comment.

I love this place but there are many vBulletin forums larger than this one Kyle with double your online count. Some setups with 5,6 nginx php-cgi servers, multiple memcache servers and mysql servers. With that said I know first hand what your going threw. You get more hardware only to find your traffic has increased past that even. Hope you find the balance soon. Long time lurker and ad clicker ;)

I think the reason why the server has been acting up weirdly is because its a dell?

Kyle, please don't ban me!

We are all ears if you have more than two sentences of consultation.

I hope you have nailed it for your own sanity!
I felt for you and wondered if you considered throwing in the towel, it must be / have been like looking after a new baby at times.
Have you suffered loss of sleep/hair over this?

Personally I thought I was breaking it every time I looked at it from my Mac (everytime I got a fixing message) rather than the windows (only sometimes got the fixing message and usually the first time logging in after using the Mac) ;)

Anyway thanks for keeping us informed Kylie, maybe it is you are just finding the limits of vBulletin!

Can I suggest you guys are doing a great job even though problems come up from time to time? Like many I don't have a lot of time so the fact that I continue posting here is unusual.

Well, I am not sure what is wrong with your guys' forum, but mine is working fine. Haven't gotten a "Fixing" message in over a week, now.

Kyle, nice comment - lol :D
