Okay,

I bought an MX510 from a member here, but theres a very annoying problem. About 75% of the time, the left click button is messed up. It will not fucntion. I will have to hold it down for a few seconds or I will have to click the same thing 7 or 8 times. Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone know how to open it? Fix it?

Id send it back to who ever you bought it from unless you bought it knowing it had that problem.

Well, he said that no buttons sticked(sp), and that it was only used for a week or two. I'm trying to work it out with him now...

i have the mx510 aswell since day one, and just last night the right button doesn't work 95% of the time.

it does click but nothing happens, i'm gonna open it up later when i'm more sober lol

Replace the switch. They don't last forever and will often break after a few years of abuse. You can get them for around $2 each from eBay. Omron D2FC-F-7N.

i tried fixing it without replacing the switch, it worked for about 9 clicks in a row and now the right button is completely dead, not gonna bother just gonna get a new mouse.

I ended up replacing my mx510 after 6 years of use with a g400 and its great.

I'm looking to replace my mx518 with a wireless mouse and keyboard. Got any recommendations?
