I had a crash that blew out my cpu/mobo, RMA'd, and everything works, I go to start up with my sata drive (from the crash) and i get a ntldr missing error... no biggie, i figure i can just boot with an ide, and use the sata as a slave and pull my files off, then format... After setting up the ide drive, and putting sata on as slave, it boots up, goes through the windows xp boot screen, and thats it, black screen from there on out... works fine without sata in... i have some important stuff on there, help me get it off!
