A friend gave me a Seagate 60 GB (model# ST360020A) hard drive he said he couldn't get to work. RMA is not possible. I ran the seagate test utility on it. It identified some problems. I manged to format it (FAT32) I ran scandisk on it. It said it fixed errors but found physical problems with the drive. What I want to know is if there is ANYTHING that I can try to make it useable.

Like the who said, low level format using a boot disk and debug.
Other than that, not much else you can do.
Besides, even if you do get something installed, would you really have any faith in the drive at all?
Would you actually put time into an install or try to use it for any file storage?
It's only a matter of time before a total disk failure.
