Fix a scratch in black anodized case

As we all have (master modders excluded) probably done at some point or another I was not paying attention when disassembling my case and set a piece down on something that had a bit of an edge (staple pushed through chair from frame) and scratched the anodized surface off the aluminum base. It was a inexpensive case (sig) and the anodizing was not very thick. All that being said what, if anything can I do to fix. I have tried the Sharpie method but it did not cover enough or blend well. I will have images up shortly but the scratch is about 1 CM long and 1 MM wide.

Marker from an art set maybe? Pick a color that matches! Sure it wont be permenant and water proof, but dont rub it or wash it...
 
In another forum I saw someone suggest model paint since it might bond to metal and they might have a good color match.
 
Heres my reply from another thread. Like I was saying just lightly sand to match sheen. As far as primer touch up, if you want the same effect just use a primer, either in paint on or spray on, however for the spray on, just shoot a little in a bottle cap and paint on as I mentioned in this thread.
