Hello, I'm interested in building a fileserver on the cheap. As it stands currently the cheapest parts one can find on the net belong to socket 1366 Xeons.

So I was looking to an HP Proliant DL360 G6 Board (this one: http://newportcomputers.com/media/c...ab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/4/9/493799-001.JPG )

And was wondering whether a Proliant DL360 G5 PSU would fit to it (this one: http://d2ydh70d4b5xgv.cloudfront.ne...2211-001-360579653458466e88a905b5a8d1b33c.jpg )

Also I have some Samsung branded ECC memory laying around thinking that I may use with this board. I think it will be compatible, anybody think of any reason that they may be not? (in that case I would need to buy RAM as well).

Thanks.

You need to check whether the PSU connectors are compatible with especially your motherboard.

You should be able to look up your motherboard specs to see what ram is compatible. Or the ram specs to see what motherboards are compatible.
